Problem: AI doesn’t process all data
You upload 100 rows. AI processes 50 and
skipped the other 50 rows.
Why it Happens
LLMs suffer from “attention diffusion’ – as they generate responses, their focus weakens on information they saw earlier. They literally lose track of what they haven’t processed yet.
The Fix:
Try these solutions in order until one works
Split The Task
Prompt 1: “Analyze rows 1-50”
Prompt 2: “Analyze rows 51-100”
[Why it works: Smaller batches prevent attention fade]
Force Verification
Add to your prompt: “After processing, list every row ID you analyzed in order”
[Why it works: Makes AI accountable for what it processede]
Require Structured Output
Add to your prompt: “Format as: Row 1: [analysis], Row 2: [analysis]…”
[Why it works: Explicit numbering prevents skipped rows]
